"Hi, Glenn Soanes again for expertvillage.com. One of the other things you want to think about before you start bowling and you’re coming to the bowling alley is because the bowling alley uses oil to protect the lanes from the friction of the ball and allow the ball to have a better travel to the pins, it tracks on the ball and comes back, like we talked about and get on your clothing. From a stand point if you carry an accessory like a towel, a towel for wiping the ball and a towel for wiping your hands, at that point you’ll be able to roll the ball more consistently. Some of the other things that you might want to think about bringing are Band-Aids, because as you go through bowling you can rub a callus or get a nicked hand or something like that and you want a Band-Aid. Generally bowling centers have them available but if you bring them you’re prepared. Chap stick maybe to put on your thumb instead of your lips to allow the thumb to come out of a ball where a hole is a little too tight. You may want to bring some powder or you may want to go and invest in a rosin bag to keep your hands dried. Again, all that stuff is going to relate to you having a more consistent release, a more consistent roll and that will equate to you having a better time cause you’ll knock down more pins. "
