"Okay, so we're pretty close to the green right here, but we're on the sides, we're on the slope of the sand trap. So hitting an uphill lie sand trap is going to force the ball at a higher altitude, so you have to account for that. It's a little difficult to get your leg transferred through here because you can see I'm almost falling backwards. So I have to be real secure, strong in my back leg. So this ball is a very nice lie, it's right on the side of nice soft, dry sand. So I want you just to get the club behind it and we're going to take a nice full swing because the ball is going to go straight up. Okay, so that wasn't too bad. I probably could have gotten a little more sand with it but that's why you need to practice this. So now we're going to try an open stance on the uphill lie. So instead of being squared up like this, I'm going to open my stance, I'm going to get a firm foundation with my feet, and I'm going to open the club face a little bit, and I'm going to drive down into the sand to pop the ball up. Now that one was pretty good. It went straight up, pretty much the way I want it to. So that's a pretty good shot. Now this one, plugged a little bit, so this is not a real good lie. So I'm going to go to a closed stance, I'm going to hit about an inch behind the ball, straight down. I'm going to shovel the ball up. So that was a pretty good result. So hitting the ball on an uphill lie at a green side bunker is challenging but you've got to practice it and you've got to learn how to stand so you don't fall backwards, and so you can drive through the ball. But, once again, you've got to spend some time on this shot because when you play a round of golf you're going to have this happen to you."
