"Hi my name is Geoff Sterling from Hollywood Soo Bahk Do and I am going to be showing you some stances. This stance is more advanced and is called the cross legged stance. It is used for two reasons. One is to retreat and then counter and the other one is to retreat but still gain ground counter. It is really a set up type of block and that is why it is more advanced. You will be seeing why later if you tune into some of the later episodes when we start coving some strikes. So you are here this way and you are going to step back and then cross this way. So you can just drill that right here it is a stance this way and then that way. So it is almost like you are going to put your shin into your calf and then you are going to sink low. It is going to require some more balance and that is why it is an advanced block and you need to know the drill more and get used to it. From there there are all kinds of things you can do like from there you can twist, you can do a back stance, then you will kick out of it but that's later. In the meantime though it is just a drill to kind of work out your legs. You are going to go like that and just get used to it. Drop and do it, drop in and out to control it. Again this was the cross legged stance. Thank you for watching."
