"Hello I am Geoff Sterling of Hollywood Soo Bahk Do and now I am going to demonstrate a side kick that involves the front legs and the back legs and stepping forward as well. Before I showed the back leg side kick which is legs back coming around this way, kicking and back again. This time you are going to be a little bit more wider with your footing because your foot is going to step forward like that and it is going to step behind you this way then your foot is going to come here and again you are going to be closed, open and then closed again. So do the side kick stepping forward and also since you are moving forward it is good that you time it so you generate the energy of going forward into the kick so you get all the power that way. Go forward this way, kick and then out. Again you do it with the heel and then closed and then open. So now I will demonstrate on the bag again and it is good to stay relaxed, you are here this way and kind of on your heels and you step behind, your back leg is going to step behind your front leg like this. Remember to retract your foot too. This is something you don't ever want to do and I have seen this a lot when you throw the side kick with the front leg, you kind of leave your foot out and drag it and if you were to do that you would leave yourself more vulnerable who is a grappler or something or somebody who knows a little bit about that could attack you and you could not defend yourself if they were to grab your legs and take you down. So what you really want to do is make sure that you put just as much emphasis on bringing your leg back as you do shooting it out and hitting with the heel so you are using that energy to flow into the target so it will look like this and that was a front leg skipping or moving forward side kick. Thank you."
