"Hi I am Geoff Sterling of Hollywood Soo Bahk Do and right now I am going to demonstrate a jumping roundhouse kick. So before I even get into that I am just going to show you a couple of drills so you can get used to the jumping aspect of it. So it is a simple drill you can do is to balance on your back leg, let's say you are balancing on your left foot and you are kicking your right foot up like that. We're going to try to do this again and jump up and pivot your feet around so your right foot is on the ground and your left foot is going to come up. Don't jump too high it is just going to get you used to replacing your footing so it is going to look like this. This way and that is just a good drill to show you how to do it. The actual kick is going to involve that same type of motion except your foot is going to come around and it is going to kick. Basically one foot is forward and one foot is back and you are this way here and your back foot is going to come up in the air with your knee being in the air and then while you are in the air your other foot will rotate this way with your hip. I am not going to do the kick I am just going to show you how to be in the air with your foot back this way. It is going to look like this. One more time and I am going to do it slower this time and not get as much air. Now you have all the pieces of the puzzle with that last step. Let's actually do the roundhouse kick. We are going to combine the last roundhouse kick to this jumping that I am showing you and that is going to be this way. We can do it with both feet this way here. Usually with this type of kick you usually have your toes in and use your instep. That was a jumping roundhouse kick. Thank you. "
