"Hi my name is Geoff Sterling from Hollywood Soo Bahk Do and what I am going to show you right now is huda jaunce or back stance and how you perform a knife hand block. Again we are this way here at a back stance and the hips go forward and back. Your hips are and we use the terminology huda or hips in Soo Bahk Do and everything is from our hips. If you are in a back stance and using your arm like this it is pointless, I might as well just be standing this way and blocking like that. There is no power in that and you are probably going to get hurt if you try to block somebody by doing that but if you use your hips you are putting your whole body weight into the technique and it is going to become a lot more effective. So again here you are in your back stance, this way. You can also cross backwards or you can go forward. When you go backwards this arm here goes on top and you pivot backward but when you go forward to do it it is again kind of like you are drawing a pistol, hands by your hip, turning and sideways, look this way, that way, every which way. You can do a knife hand block in huda jaunce and from Hollywood Soo Bahk Do thank you for watching. Have a good one."
