"Hi my name is Geoff Sterling with Hollywood Soo Bahk Do. I am one of the practitioners here and what I am going to be showing you today is a side block and that is going to be out of a back stance and that is different from the front stance. So again just a review a back stance your feet are kind of perpendicular like an L, with about 70% of your weight on the back leg and about 30% on the front leg. So now all you are going to do to block you are going to put your hips forward and back and then to coincide with the hip motion you are going to put this arm here on top and this arm straight on the bottom and that way you are almost connecting your elbow to the inside of your arm and you are going to go this way and then to that way. O'kay now connecting it with the hips, look this way. So when you step forward with it you just push off with this back foot this way. You can do it closed and you can even do it open. Closed, open. Try practicing it on your own. That is a back stance, wo jance, side block. Thanks for watching Soo Bahk Do. Have a good one. "
