"Hello I'm Geoff Sterling of Hollywood Soo Bahk Do. What I am going to show you now is low X block. This block is pretty powerful and this block itself would hurt somebody's shins if they would kick you but it is a defensive kick and you use the front stance you pivot your hips this way and step out into the front stance. You make fists and cross your arms. About this level here I would say about three inches above your wrist is where you cross. You want to protect your groin so you really want to sink low to protect the stances. That is where the conditioning is going to help to make sure your legs are strong enough to do this technique. To help demonstrate this move I have Mohamad Husan of Soo Bahk Do. So let's say he throws an attack at me, I am going to step in this way, and block and in addition to that you can open up your hands and grab on to something. It can be shorts, you can just grab on to his ankle but since he has pants I am going to grab those too. Now I am going to pivot my leg back into what is called a sakarot jaunce which is like an intermediate stance. See how he loses his balance, that is a good thing. From here I definitely threw him off and I can counter with any number of things. I can sweep him, I can strike, any number of things but we are still just talking about blocks right now. Thank you. From us at Soo Bahk Do, thanks for watching and I hope you pick up the low X block. "
