"The hand of god is a very useful technique of riding an incapacitated kakayer who is still in their boat but upside down. In this situation where they haven't released from their boat and they are not actively participating in a T-rescue is where they can use it. For this, you are going to paddle up next to them, draw yourself in on that last moment and you drop the paddle in between the two of you so that it stays there. Reach across with the close arm to the far side and to the near side you want to push down with the far arm. At this point, pull up on this hand and push down on the close hand and that way you will spend them back around. Let's show you how it is done. So the hand of god that incapacitated person, drop the paddle in the middle, reach across to the spray skirt and then ride them. At this point, you want to take a good hold of that PFD to make sure they are stable. If they are injured and conscious, make sure that you are talking to them. If they are unconscious, then you just want to be getting them to the shore as quickly as possible. "
