"Now dealing with a capsized boat if it is upside down and full, it is a daunting task and can take a lot of energy. So if you are going to be towing it over a long distance or if you want to be just quick and easy to get someone back in if you are in the flat section, then emptying it out midstream is something that you are going to need to do. You never really want to attach in in towing a boat in a full capsized boat. To do this, take your paddle and lay it across the deck so that you know where it is and it's not going to go floating away on you. You then want to get the boat that's upside down next to the kayak, reach underneath and try to find one of the grab loops. You then are going to lean away and pull it over the deck. At this point, keep on forcing up until you can seesaw it back and forth over your cockpit to ensure that you empty it out. At this point, roll it away from you and now you can attach into it to tow it or just give it a really good shove to shore to make that bump and tow a little easier. "
