"Hello, I’m Francisco Escudero with Sky Banditz Kiteboarding here in Miami, Florida, if you want to learn more about kiteboarding go to www.skybanditz.com. Now we’re going to talk about how to generate power when there’s light wind. If you can’t ride up to the right and you can’t ride to the left you must generate the most power possible. So we’re going to take our kite and just power stroke it straight down wind, straight down wind. What this is going to do is going to be pulling you down wind, maybe sinking and standing but if you do it consistently enough you’re going to get going. Obviously, this will be no fun because you would have to continue working your kite. Soon enough you’re going to want to ride to the right and to the left when there’s more consistent wind. What we’re going to do is we’re going to take the wind window, that three dimensional dome that we talked about, we split it in half. So it’s 12, 9 and then 3 at the other side, so now if I want to ride to the left I’m going to go to 12 to 9. So I’m going to go like this and start to ride this way with the wind. As I’m getting more speed I’m going to curve a little bit, I’m going to find the sweet spot and that’s when I park my sail, I’m going to be able to ride consistently to one direction. "
