on 11/11/2008 hey Garson! nice videos but i completely don't understand how you bring up the back wheel... I've actually tried to do this and somehow brought it up like 3 inches but i don't get it because if you jump up aren't you jumping off the pedals at the same time? do i hook up the bike pedals with my foot or what?

Video Transcript

"As I said before the first part to having a really strong bunnyhop is making sure that you front end up nice and high. The same time you have a really wimpy second stage to your hop you know if your going to pick up your back wheel up 6 inches it's only going to up 6 inches. So the second part to having a really good solid bunnyhop is making sure that your really have a good explosive jump off of your legs. Basically you want to make sure that you know your doing almost like a power lift jump where your jumping off of your toes your nice and squared off, and you explode right off of your legs. That gives you the second part that's the second portion of the vertical the vertical component of it. That third part that is often over looked but the good sort of final bit to making sure you get the back wheel up over an object, is to make sure that you have a good tuck. That's a third stage of the bunnyhop where in essence after pulling your legs up you go and push your arms like so and you bring your legs up even further. A lot of the time you'll know that your you have a really good tuck going when you completely tuck it out and your back wheel is actually up higher than your rear wheel. If you can get a really good tuck going and a really good explosive leap out of your legs that's when you know when you got a really good bunnyhop going."
