"This Sankyo, or wrist control is going to be from the same side wrist grab, also known as katate tori. What I'm going to do is I'm going to move through; going to open the door, going to get myself some space to go through. In order to do that I need to take Daniel's balance, so as I do this I'm going to blast him through. Keep this nice and snug and immediately get control of this wrist, so he doesn't have the chance to let go. Here, trap this wrist, and as I move my entire body is going to move with me. This is the first part of the Sankyo that I'm going to set up now. This hand comes in, catches at the meat of the hand, the knife edge. The second hand is going to come in and grab the lower part as if I were shaking his hand. The elbow now is cut down to the ground with a good control. Let’s try that again. Katate tori, same side wrist grab. I'm going to steal his center; he's already off, I'm going to get positive control with my hand here, slip underneath it, with this hand get the knife edge of that hand, come in here, shake that hand. Keep this entire unit nice and snug and towards the center. If this is snug, he's not going to elbow you in the face, contrary to popular belief. He's locked up, I'm going to cut this elbow now down and to the ground, end with a good control. That is Sankyo wrist control against same side wrist grab, katate tori."
