"In women's self defense, there's a technique as well as a philosophy that we're going to demonstrate on this. We'll only demonstrate it to a certain degree, however. And that is an attack from a, the escape against a shirt grab. In the even that somebody comes up and grabs you by the shirt in this way, right here, as you begin to escape, the shirt may begin to tear or pull away. There is a degree of modestly that becomes almost eruptive in our technique. Somebody may hesitate to do this technique because they don't want to loose their shirt. I encourage you to not worry about that. It is more important that you end up protecting yourself and possibly escaping a horrible event as opposed to being embarrassed about running around in your bra. So, if I grab Theresa in this way here, she can twist and turn as we did with the other one. But, more than likely, I've got a good, positive grip. As she moves and I start to pull, her shirt is either, 1.) Going to start to tear, or 2.) It's going to begin to come off. If you feel the shirt coming off, simply slip out of it. Simply slip out of the shirt. And as you do that, you're gone. It's a good way to get free. But, in order to do that, you need to think about it a little bit and come to terms with it. I would hope that your modesty would not override you ability or your hope to defend yourself. So, that's a very important part of women's self defense."
