"Another technique we can use for a straight stab, an edged weapon defense, is a locking technique. We're going to deal with this. You kind of lock it to our body. Now obviously they're going to try to wrestle with this. The closer I keep this to my center, the stronger I am. I'm not going to spend a lot of time here, so I want to lock it and strike. So when this strikes, I want to use my foot. I want to actually strike to the inner side of the thigh. As Daniel comes in, I lock this in, he could start to pull back it doesn't matter. Blam. I want to come in. Now, as with all of our strikes that we would ever do, my goal is not to simply hit the top of the tissue, then walk away. My goal is to come in, lock this in, and then smash into that technique, smash into that area. I want to punch completely through it. Lock that, blam. And by doing that, I cause a great deal of physical dysfunction. His hips are out of line, his hips altered. His knees folded over. He's not really concerned with stabbing me anymore, and I can just drop him to the ground. So one more time. I lock this into my body, where I'm nice and strong. Come in, raise your knee just slightly, and blast right onto the inside of that thigh. And that is a great lock and strike technique from a stab."
