"How you doing? Now we're going to talk about positioning your head or head positioning. We've talked about your base. We've talked about grabbing the bat. We've talked about holding your hands up. We've talked about creating a trigger. Now, the important thing, seeing the ball. Now, if you're looking down and you kind of turn your head sideways and you're looking at it like this, what are you doing? You're only seeing out of one eye. As everyone knows, that creates a depth perception problem. You're not going to know when the ball is actually here or here, it's going to be a little bit difficult to pick up. What you want to do is keep both eyes focused out on the pitcher, as much as possible. Obviously you can't sit like this while you're looking down but as much as possible keep your head directly at the pitcher. Also, you don't want your head to be tilted this way, this way, you don't want to be back this way. You want to try to keep your head as level as possible. This again kind of creates, it helps you eliminate the little variables of having a tilted head, having proper depth perception because your head is turned a little bit too much. It makes it much easier to pick up the ball if you're looking at the pitcher with your head fairly straight the whole time. Both eyes focused down at him, at his arm, watching the ball come into you and that is positioning your head in the correct position."
