"Throughout our hitting segment what we've talked about is you know, different parts of the swing, you know different things you need to do. Now what we're going to talk about is how do I practice? How do I make myself better? Now one very, very useful training tool is just. These are basically golf ball, whiffle balls. Now why am I looking at a ball that's a quarter of the size of a regular baseball? Because think about it. If you can hit this and hit it effectively. A ball that's that big around is going to look like a watermelon coming at you. So what you want to do is just get some little balls like this. You know, go pick them up at a golf store or something like that. Very easy, very effective and they're not going to fly very far no matter how hard you hit it. You're not going to hit it you know, down to the next county. It's very; you can hit it maybe thirty to forty feet, that's as far as they're going to go. So you can do it in your backyard, you're garage, things like that. You're not going to break anything. Very, very useful to use these smaller balls like this. Now I'll demonstrate just you know, hitting some of these small balls right here. Just like that. As you can see it's much more difficult, it's a little bit more strenuous, and you got to think, alright I've got to pay attention to this small little ball but think about it. You have to track a small little ball. Which goes back to our thing. You've got to track the ball in pitcher's hands. If you can track this small little ball, it makes it much easier to track the much larger baseball coming at you. So you're working on your eyes, you're working on your hands, you're working on contact. It's working all aspects of hitting. Just by hitting these small little balls."
