"Now previously we talked about knowing the strike zone. We talked about, you know from this side of the plate to this side of the plate. From here to here. Now we're going to talk about you know a little more so of the nuance as far as that is, you know hitting the inside pitch. The plate is essentially broke up into three parts. You have your inside part, your down the middle, and your outside part if you're right handed. Obviously it's reversed if you're left handed, this would be inside, this would be outside. We're going to talk about hitting the ball on this inside third right here. Now obviously before the pitch comes you don't know where the ball is going to be. You don't know where the pitcher is going to throw it, so you can not adjust yourself, you know while the pitch is coming. If the guy is throwing a ball at you and you're trying to move like this, or move like this it's not going to work. You have to keep yourself in the same position every time. All you have to do is maybe get out in front a little earlier. Or maybe you have to just think okay good, I got it, it's an inside pitch. I got to go this way with it. So what you want to do is, an inside pitch you want to hit a little bit in front of your front foot. That's where you want to make contact at. So you go here, boom making contact at inside pitch. Making contact a little bit out in front of my front foot. Now if you jump way ahead and you?re making contact out here. What are you going to do? You're going to pull a ball way down the line. It doesn't do any good. You want to keep the ball in play. So, boom right here is a little bit in front of my foot, you're still keeping it in play, it's just to the left side of the field. And that's hitting an inside pitch."
