Roll the thread over itself on the standing portion. Come back over it again and its locked in with a jam knot. Two simple materials to create a willy worm trout fly. First I'm going to walk the thread to the hook shank with a jam knot. Cut away the waste thread. Move the thread to the end of the hook shank. We are going to use a common saddle hackle in this case it is the furnace hackle. As we mention before it has a white strip right down the middle and it is a color ginger. We are going to remove the feather fibers from the bottom end to create a tight end point.
