"Hi, I am Ed Kramarcik, PBA member and AMF staff player. We are here in Longwood, Florida at Rip the Rack Pro Shop. Today we are going to go over balls, different types of balls to choose selections of what games, what you want to bowl, and I am going to explain the different cover shots of each ball. For a beginner bowler I suggest buying a plastic ball. And we went over this earlier: the plastic ball, what it’s going to do for you, it is going to skid on the lanes. It is going to go straight to get your fundamentals down. And then take you to the next step up to the reactive balls. So you have your plastic bowling balls for the beginners. And then you take it to the next step up when you want to get a little more serious, you get a reactive balls. A reactive ball is going to the lane conditions which a plastic ball is not going to do. Reactive ball, your next step up from plastic is reactive. Reactive ball, your next step up will be like a Scout, Power Goof, or Tornado. So these are the balls you are going to look for in your pro-shop when you are choosing a ball. So you have your plastic for the beginners. Once you get your basics down and your fundamentals, then you will come in and you will get a reactive ball which is called a mid-price reactive ball. And then on your third level you have the high-performance ball. It is the ball I use as a pro bowler and a lot of high-average bowlers use. The high-performance balls are like an Agent, Thunderstorm, AMF Radar. I mean they are all high-performance balls, and they are going to reactive to the lanes better. So if you are bowling on the oil conditions that we went over a few segments ago, and the lanes aren’t giving you want you want, and the balls are not hooking up through the heads enough, you want to go to a high-performance reactive ball. So, go to your shop, ask for the high-performance ball with a heavy weight block, and get the ball to hook in the oil. And, you will bowl a lot better. The difference on the price structures, like I say, you have your plastic, you have your mid and then you have your high-performance ball."
