"Hi, I am Ed Kramarcik, PBA member and also AMF staff player, and here we are in Longwood today, Florida, and I am going to go over for somebody that is really interested in bowling and trying to get a lot better, if you want to bowl recreational, or you might want to be a PBA member like myself. The difference between coaching is you have the silver level and you have gold level coaching; PBA members are all gold coaches certified through the Professional Bowlers’ Association. So if you really want to be serious about the game, I would say go out and visit your pro shop, and see if the person that owns the pro shop is a PBA member, which is Professional Bowlers’ Association, and then you know that you are getting a top coach for you money. Usually what I tell everybody, if they want to be a good bowler, they want to be serious, and they want to invest their time and money, is go to your pro shop, visit my pro shop at Rip the Rack Bowling, visit my website at www.riptherackbowling.com, and I could help you with these. The difference between silver and gold is, gold is for professional bowlers; we are out there on a tour, we are making a living doing it, and we have the expertise. So I would say pick up a pro bowler; that will help you with your game. Usually segments go a half hour to an hour; you can choose what you want. Average price usually goes $30 a half hour, $60 an hour. And it depends on the individual and how much lessons are you going to need, and some people catch on quicker than the other people. So when you go out and bowl, if you feel like you need 3 or 4 lessons, schedule it with you proprietor, schedule it with your pro shop, and they will work around it. And one-on-one coaching is the best coaching, because they will work on your game, your fundamentals, you will bowl a lot better, and you will come to the center a lot more, because your scores are going to be a lot higher. So go out and go to your pro shop, visit your shop, talk to a pro bowler there and they will recommend how many lessons you will need; and the key thing is to make sure that you have a ball that fits you. Do not use a house ball if you are being coached, it is not going to work, because house balls do not fit you properly. You want to go to the pro shop and get a ball fitted for you, get a reactive; if you are going to invest the money for a half hour lesson, get a good ball. And that is going to expedite your game, you will accelerate a lot better and you will score a lot higher, and you are going to be happy. So have a good day and bowl well. "
