"Welcome to Expert Village. My name is Dr. Ed Riffel. Today we are just going to do some modified bench presses. We will start with the one unit like you would put a close grip doing your benches and we are just going to bring it down into the bench press position. Beginners you might want to have your knees bent up like this. Advanced you would put your legs out and maybe even do a slight raise. You want to come up and concentrate like you do in the gym when you are doing your benches. Concentrate on doing your pectoralis movement. You don't want to activate the fast twitch muscle fibers. When we do our benches we are activating the slow powerful muscle fibers. In this one we are activating the fast and it is good for your coordination. It is good for any of your martial arts or any of your fast moving sports, hand ball, racket ball, volleyball."
