on 8/15/2009 Good effort, Donaill. I commend you for putting yourself out there and for your passion for sports and helping kids. I run a youth basketball training program for kids ages 10-18 and find no greater reward than helping kids succeed.

May I suggest you write out your scripts first. If it is a video about shooting tips, then stick with shooting tips. For example, the pivot has little to do with shooting and more with strategy and game play.

The power in a shot comes from the elbow, not the wrist. For example, try shooting from the free throw line with the wrist only. Even the strongest players will have a tough time getting the ball to the basket.

Then try it again using the elbow only without following through with your wrist. The shot won't be pretty, but it will make to the basket.

The combination of the two are what give you power and control. The wrist helps you create prope...

"I'm going to be talking about beginning basketball. The next thing I'm going to be talking about as far as shooting and scoring, I'm going to kind of mix two of them in there as one. You always want to make sure you have good shooting form. Now when you're shooting a good shooting form you always want to make sure you have your strong hand with 5 fingers on the ball spread out on the ball and make sure your left hand is kind of holding. If you're left handed make sure your left hand is to the left of your right hand and if you're left handed make sure your right hand is to the right of the ball. Now when in shooting form make sure you use your wrist because there's where mostly your power is going to come from when you're shooting it. It's coming from your legs, you're right and you know what I mean as far as like your strength, but it always comes from your flicking of your wrist. Make sure when you're shooting and using your form, you use your wrist and you follow through all the way. Another thing I'm going to be talking about as far as scoring you always want to make sure you have a good pivot. A pivot is pretty much used for post players because they're going to be doing a whole lot of moving around the basketball and they're going to need a good pivot. A good pivot can keep the other defensive player off balance all the time because you're going to keep on using your pivot and make for sure you only have one pivot, because if you use two pivots that's going to be considered traveling. When you have a good pivot you can go all the way around but as long as you don't pick that pivot up. If you pick that pivot up, always remember that is a travel and that's a violation."
