" This is Don Daly representing expertvillage.com and in this clip we are going to demonstrate the high guard pass. We are in the guard position, go down to his belt I am going to break his legs open first, so knee here, knee here, break legs open. This time I am going to post a foot up. So as I post this foot up on the same side because I am going to pull his leg up so we take this hand and we come under, elbow on top of my knee. So I use my whole body when I come up, elbows on the knee, use the whole body to bring him up, you reach across, go in the collar. At the same time bring his hips off the ground okay you want to use your knee on the opposite side to pick his hips up. I got a good grip on his collar and press it down here. When I got the collar here I pull on it and I push myself down and bring him down. He does not like the pressure so he pushes my head out. As he pushes my head out, as he pushes my head out I let him, I let the leg come around. As he comes around I come down side control, putting my hand in the hip, one hand here on this side. Okay real important that when you post, okay, you don’t want to use the arm because his leg will be heavy, he's going to push down, I am not going to be able to pull it up; but if I get him under my shoulder with the elbow on the knee, now he pushes down he is using his weight against my body so I come across, grab, hips are up, choke is here, I start to push down on him, he does not like it, he's pressured, he pushes my head, then comes around and I come straight down side control."
