" This is Don Daly representing expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to demonstrate a 45 degree arm bar from side control. A lot of times I have a guy in this position. I have the lock on okay I bring my chest down I go to pull his arm up but he is holding too tight. He is too strong. He has got a really good grip on his belt, he has got his fingers inside, so even though I pull and I pull his whole body up he is just not let him go. I might even tried to wrist lock him but again he is just too strong. I can't push his wrist down, he is not letting him go and I am not getting the arm. So in that case I still keep the lock on, what I am going to do is I am going to step up, step one foot close to his face real quick, one foot close to his back. When you step you got to be close. If you step out and step out and leave a lot of room he is just going to spin out of it. So here I pull a couple of times. I can’t get it so I step tight, step tight to his back, one quick move I fall black, take the arm with me, okay pinch knees together go to the wrist, turn thumb up, pull the knees together and I just lift my hip slightly, arm bar. So again he is not giving his arm up, he is too strong, I am just pulling his whole weight not a problem, I step here, step tight to his back and I turn my butt this way, I throw him back, bringing his arms with me, as I fall back I pinch knees together, go to the wrist, thumb is up, knees tight, hand over his face okay just lift hips up, arm bar."
