"Hi! This is Don Daly representing expertvillage.com, and in this clip, we’re going kimora lock from the guard position. We have our opponent locked in our guard and he makes a mistake. He put his hand on the ground. Perfect time to do a kimora lock. What we do is we grab the wrist, first thing. Make sure you have a good solid hold on the wrist and it’s trapped to the mat. It’s hard for him to pull up. I got trapped, opposite foot goes down. When the foot goes down, that allows me to push my hips away from him. If I don’t push my hips away and I go to try and reach over, I can’t reach and you may get out. So guard is on, wrist is trapped, opposite foot down. Okay, we pushed the hips away so we can sit up, up on the elbow reaching over his shoulder. Not over here; he’ll pull his arm out. We reach over his shoulder and grab my own wrist. I got a hold of the wrist. We just fall back, foot up here, hips scoot out, and we push out this way. It hurts the shoulder. If I go to put the kimora on, wrist, foot, hips, over. As I lay back, I forget to put the foot up. I go to put the lock on. He’s just going to roll through. Again, we trap, opposite foot down, hips scoot out, sit up over the shoulder, grab my own wrist, fall back, foot here, hips out, arm position."
