on 2/21/2009 Most of the comments that have been posted to Mr. Olympiev's videos are deeply concerning. It confirms the belief we have here in Australia that America is a nation of predjudiced, intolerant and egotistical people.

Perhaps if you weren't all so full of yourselves and paid attention to what people from other countries can offer, you might just learn something - it's called basic human decency.

on 8/2/2008 Very clear and well thought out video's. I've been skating a couple of years and I am still struggling with most of these things. It's been very useful when your not on the ice to watch these tips and rehearse them in your head. And I've come back many times now to watch them again. The Best I've found so far on the web. Thanks for sharing and giving your time for free.

Video Transcript

"Hello my name is Dmitri Olympiev and I teach at Pines Ice Arena in Pembroke, Florida. You can reach us on the web at www.www.pinesicearena.com. Now the next thing I’m going to show you will teach us how to spin on the ice. Spinning can be pretty fun. I’m going to bring my left arm in front and right arm in the back, these arms are going to spin me. I’m going to keep my feet together, swing. Always keep your arms tucked in tight when you’re spinning and they really have to be very powerful in the beginning. Now as much as it is fun, it can be dangerous too. Never lean back when you’re spinning, always lean your body slightly forward. And keep your back very strong too. We’ll be right back. "
