"Hello. My name is David Gelber. I represent the Hilo Ultimate Frisbee Community and I'm here to do a little talk on ultimate Frisbee on behalf of Expert Village. What I'm going to talk about next is freestyle. Freestyle involves a Frisbee. Generally speaking, it's a special Frisbee that has a very, very smooth bottom and generally speaking, the freestyle players will have a fake fingernail. The whole object is to reduce the amount of friction or drag upon your fingernail and the bottom of the Frisbee to allow the Frisbee freestyler to do more and more tricks. The more drag there is, the less the Frisbee's going to spin and you can't do as many tricks that way. This is not the perfect freestyle Frisbee, so you'll have to forgive me. But generally speaking, the freestyler will take a Frisbee onto his fingernail with a lot of spin and then proceed to do tricks. The tricks can go under the leg and behind the back and the more advanced ones can do all sorts of special things and basically keep the Frisbee moving and spinning in the air for pretty much as long as they want. A lot of times the freestyle events will take place with pairs. Two people participating as a team, and some people are very serious about their freestyle. There's world championships and people are sponsored and etc., etc. I'll attempt to do a couple of tricks here within my limited capabilities. Here goes the first one. This is called the nail delay. The nail delay is the, basically the central theme around all freestyle tricks. A nail delay involves you taking the Frisbee while it's spinning onto your fingernail and keeping it spinning on your fingernail for as long as possible. That's a basic nail delay. Once you get your nail delay mastered, then you can start doing tricks in variations from the nail delay. And one of the easier ones is through the leg or under the leg. Simple under the leg. And the other leg."
