"DAVE TYLER: In a basketball game in the state of Michigan in high school, all players are allowed five personal fouls. Again in the NBA, they are allowed six. All types of violations, the most common is being a foul in the process of shooting would be two shots for the person who was fouled. Shooting fouls are usually two shots. Any time we go over seven team fouls, then we go to a one-on-one situation which would mean that the shooting team, if they make the first shot gets a second shot. So--and the seventh team foul, you get one-on-one for the eighth, ninth and 10th; and the 10th team foul, then you get two shots on every personal foul by the team, once the 10 fouls are committed per half. At the end of the first half, all team fouls are cleared and we start with zero again. Just like we did in the first half, seventh foul would be one-on-one, eighth, ninth and 10th would be one-on-one and then two. Any time a shooter is fouled, we'll always have two shots."
