"DAVE TYLER: A lot play in the post. Post play is one thing that the officials have to watch closely, because in the post there is a lot of pushing and shoving that can go on. One of the calls that has to be made now in Michigan high school basketball is the push or the forearm in the back. That's a point of contention in the 2006-2007 basketball year. So we're going to take a look at post play. You are allowed--we're going to look at proper post defense and improper. First of all, proper post defense means he can stay behind his defender and can get close, but he cannot impede his movement. Improper post play would be when the post player has the ball in the post and the defender has a forearm on his back impeding his movement. This would be a violation here with the forearm in the back. Player has the ball in the block and he is being defended here illegally by the defender. He's got a forearm in the back. That would be a personal foul."
