" Hi! I am Dave Shelton explaining Frisbee for Expert Village.com. You got the basic catch down. Great, you guys are doing really well. Now we are going to move to the one-handed catch and this is a little bit different. It is definitely requiring a little bit more attention to the Frisbee itself and here is how it’s done. See as the Frisbee is approaching open your hand like you would a fish going after a hook and then once it is in your palm, grab down and pull it in. As the Frisbee approaches no matter where it is, reach your hand up and pull it in, no matter where you are. If you have to, like a lot of times people will use their one-handed catch to propel into their next throw, but what you want to make sure is that you catch it before you do that and if you have to change position of your hand or use it a different way that is fine, the important thing is to make sure you catch it with that one hand. It is like kind of like this, which is like your normal instinctual way to catch it and then from here there is a lot of thing you can do with it; you can go to the discus throw or you can turn your fingers around and go to that and if you are really dexterous with your fingers, then it should be very easy for you to turn it, but you can manipulate the Frisbee once you get it with one hand. Let’s try it, and then you could also do your normal throw with the two, if you catch it normally. One thing that is important too about the catches, especially the one handed catch is to use it all the time and play. You would have to keep playing and practicing just like you would getting good in basketball with both hands; you need to do the same when you are catching a Frisbee. "
