"Hi my name is Darren Buckner from Darren Buckner’s Martial Arts in Miami Beach, Florida. At this time we will be showing you techniques from a system called Krav Maga. This technique I’m about to demonstrate is called headlock from the side. When the attack comes, you must go with the motion, please place your chin directly to your chest, as you go with the motion your foot goes directly forward and then you will take your inside hand strike your groin. As you strike your groin, take your hand directly behind the spine between the head of the opponent, once you’ve done so you’ll take your index finger and place underneath the nose. If the person does have hair please grab at the bridge and top of the head, if not grab with the index finger at the bridge of the nose back and up, as you do so you will pull your elbow directly straight down and your target will be on the floor. "

on 8/2/2008 This works very well. I had to use it at a rally a few weeks ago when drunk biker put me in a friendly head lock. I asked politely to release me and he didn't, I told him to and he didn't and so I threw on his back with a bloody nose. Key thing to remember is to tuck your chin against his arm so he can't access your neck.
