Hi there, In England we do it differently! It certainly seems to be stretching a point to call it a trucker's hitch as anything tied on a flatbed with that would probably slide off at the first corner you came to !! Only kidding. We called the whole thing 'roping and sheeting' and I loved it ! Nowadays it's all those nylon things and enclosed backs on the trucks, but the knots we learned go back to load tieing (?) on the old sailing ships and it's a shame they're getting lost and forgotten after such an illustrious history. Andy.
