" My name is Dan, and I’m here with Expert Village. In this series we’re going to outline how to tie a number of knots. I’ve used several books on knot tying they typically have full color illustrations and step by step instructions about how to tie each knot. It will also give you a brief introduction as to what the knot’s used for and who and first invented it. Books like these are great to have around to expand your own knot tying ability, also for teaching lessons. It typically have a glossary with all the knots in the book, and they’re also divided into segments such as bends, hitches, loops, camping knots and general purpose knots. In this segment, I’ll also show you a number of different kinds of knots, load bearing knots, knots for shorting a rope, climbing knots, several sailing knots."
