" Hi my name is Dan and I'm here with Expert Village and today I'm going to show you how to tie the pile hitch. The pile hitch is a very useful knot. Other in boating or in camping. You need the end of the stump or a piling in order to tie it. You can not tie it in the middle of a piling. It is good also in tent poles. Another object is you might be making a tarp or tent to fast to. Begin by making your bight in your line. Wrap it around your piling and go underneath both the working end and the tail end, then with your loop or your bight wrap it over the top off the piling. This is a very strong knot you also quit easy to untie if you just break its back. I can tie it for you one more time. Take a bight, wrap it around underneath, and frat a loop over the top. Simply, quick, and secure the pile hitch."
