"Practicing with a shotgun is really the key to success. Once you've learned how to safely handle the gun. You know what your limitations are with it. You know what to be expecting and what to watch out for with your gun. Practicing, just like anything else, makes perfect. If you can't hit a clay pigeon out of the air you probably shouldn't go duck hunting or pheasant hunting because you probably won’t hit those either. But unlike high powered rifles you're not running the risk of really wounding an animal. Because if you hit it, you hit it and it's going to be a quick and short death for it. So getting out there and going to shotgun ranges and practicing with clay pigeons and getting this up on your shoulder and following them across the sky. Getting that down will prepare you for hunting in the field."
