"Hi, my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center. Today we're going to be showing you how to perform self defense against the rear bear hug. Ok, so if someone comes up behind you and grabs straight behind. Ok, there's a few steps to keep in mind. First, you want to take your right hand, grab over the top of their hands and pull down. Ok, at the same time, you want to stomp on the right foot with your right foot on their right foot, step out with a wide stance. Ok, from here make a fist. You have have all this room now. So elbow straight to the solar plexus, then hit to the groin. Ok, so once again. So they grab, place the hand on theirs, pull straight down, at the same time stomp, step out, ok. You can also lean very slightly forward. You don't want to lean too far forward, and you don't want to lean back. This creates the gap. Elbow, and hit straight to the groin. Ok, now from a side angle. So do it the same way. So you're here. So grab, pull down, stomp the foot, step out, elbow, hit the groin. Ok, then they will let go. That's the proper way to perform self defense against the rear bear hug."
