Hi, my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center and today we're going to be showing you Bao Tui, also known as Leg and Bracing Skill. Okay, so you could start feet together. You could pick either leg, so we'll start with the left leg. You want to pick the leg straight up, you want to grab around the knee and over the top of the foot and you want to pull your leg straight up trying to get it to the chest level. You know, for more advance level after you practice, you want to use the form and clutch it straight up. Okay, and if you notice, okay, the rear leg has to be completely straight and you want the toes facing forward how you're standing. Okay, from the side, if you notice, the chest is flat, you want to try to keep your back as straight as possible. Don't roll your hips forward, don't hunch. You want to keep the heady rack looking straight forward, for that will help you keep your balance. Now this is good for strengthening the thighs and the hip flexers and routining your hip for various different kicks. Okay. It's very important for different kicks that you have the proper strength in you leg. Okay. And that is the proper way to perform Bao Tui.
