Hi, my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center. Today, we're going to be showing you how to perform the Toe Slap Kick. Okay, so with this kick, you want to start feet together, you want to stick your palms straight up over head. It's very important that you keep your fingers together and keep your thumbs tucked in, this way. Okay, you want to keep the elbows bent, you notice, it's slightly away from my face, you don't want it overhead like this, you don't want reach back and not too far forward. So, keep the arms bent, just like this. Okay, you're going to take a small step with the non kicking leg and you going to swing your leg straight up, you going to slap the top of the foot. So you're here, so you're going to step, slap the top. Okay. So it's very important you keep the back straight, you don't want to slouch down and bend the knees, keep the legs straight. So step, pick up the leg and kick, and bring the hand right back to where you started. You want to slap the top of the foot in the shoe lace area. So once again, you're here, you step, kick. Okay. So perform from this angle, looks like this, take a small step, kick, slap out. Okay. Common application, the reason why you're hitting the hand is you want to build the strength in the hand and the kick is actually a low kick. Okay. So, if he was to throw a punch, okay, so he could punch in, you can block. Okay, this is actually slap, you can slap here and kick straight up to the groin this way. Here, either side, you can even use opposite side, so if he punches at me, okay, I can block here, slap and kick this way. That's the proper way to perform the Toe Slap Kick.
