Hi, my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center, and today, we're going to be showing you the proper way to perform a Military Push Up. Okay, so this push up starts from a standing position. Okay, and using your fist, you want it straight over head, so your hands all the way down to your feet is in a straight line. There you're going to bend down, go straight down on the knuckles, bend your knees slightly, kick your legs out at the same time, push up, kick your legs back up, go straight back. So again, so you're here, so hand straight up, go straight down, kick your legs out, perform the push up, kick your legs in, straight out. Okay, now from a side shot, okay, you see from the hands all the way down to your feet, it's a straight line. Okay, you want to bend forward, place your knuckles on the floor, bend your knees, squat down, kick your legs straight out, both legs at the same time, okay, then perform the push up. Now, when you come fully back up that's when you want to bring your legs back in, and then directly straight up to where you were. Okay, so once again, so go down, kick out the legs, push up, back in and then straight back up. Okay. That's the proper way to perform the Military Push Up.
