Hi, my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center and today, we're going to be showing you how to perform the Twisting Scissor Exercise. Okay, so in this exercise, you want to start with your legs about shoulder width apart. Okay, hands up on your hips. Okay, first, you're going to be twisting to the right and do a Scissor Stance, then to the left in a Scissor Stance. So, you start to twist by twisting your right foot out, at the same time, your left knee's going to be twisting inward. Okay, you're going to go on the ball of the left foot and you're going to sit this way. So, my right knee is over the top of my left knee. If you look at it, you could see that this knee points directly out from under this one. Okay, so you're here, so you twist, sit and don't let your buttocks sit on the back heel, keep your back straight, twist your shoulder towards where you're going. Come straight out, twist back around to your left side, same way, Scissor, come straight back up, twist, sit. From here you could build up on the speed, okay, up, down. Up, down. Okay. Then from the side view like this. Once more. That is the proper way to perform the Twisting Scissor.
