Hi, my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center and today, we're going to be showing you the proper way to perform the Kick Out Exercise. Okay, so from here, you sit directly down on the floor. Okay, you don't want to lean back too far, you want to keep your palms flat and you want to keep your chest forward and your head up. Okay, keep your feet together. From here, you want to draw your legs up towards your chest. Okay, keep your knees as close together as possible. Feet elevate off the floor, then stab your legs straight out. Okay, now you can have a slight rocking motion but you don't want anything too drastic. Then from there, pull your knees directly back in, directly back out. Okay. And fast, like this. So in and out, in and out. Okay, from the side, see the palms are flat, draw the knees up, thrust the heels straight out. Okay. There's also variations where you can use your toe. You can use your toe this way and stab your feet straight out, same action. Couple common errors, okay, some people, they perform them wrong and they flat their leg up, instead of bringing it in and thrusting the leg out. Okay, so once again fast, the kick out. Okay, and up. That's the proper way to perform the Kick Out Exercise.
