"So you get your fly line your floating line also set up. Right here is your floating line where your leader is attach to your floating line. Typically it is nine feet long. What we do as you are fishing you switch out your flies depending on what is working, what is not working. What happen you cut that leader down. To replace that line so you don't have to replace the leader each time we use what we called tippet. Tipped it is basically is fishing line and it has different sizes and different weights. Like depending on what types of water and what type of fish you are catching. What we do is we look at the size of the tippet that we have. Depending on the type of water we are fishing and the type of fish, the weight of the fish we decide what a type of tippet. It is decided on the weigh and the size of the fish. For instance 5 x tippet will typically hold on to a four pound fish. In these water here you are going to catch six and seven pounds fish so you are going to need something stronger. Such as a 4x or 3x tippet. What we are going to do today I'm going to pull out some 4x tippet. To attach to my leader. We don't want to lose the fish. "
