"Right now I'm going to talk about form shooting. When you shoot a basketball, you're going to want to have the best form possible and there is a way to do that. You're going to want to start with your feet shoulder width apart. As always, your legs are going to be bent. It's very important that you keep your elbow tucked in. You don't want your elbow out here because that's going to throw off your shot. It's going to go left or right of the basket and you don't want that. When you're shooting, keep your elbow tucked in. When you're going to release the ball, make sure you extend your arm all the way up. You don't want to stop around here. Stop out here. Make sure you get that arm all the way up. Also, you're going to want something that's called follow through. You get follow through by extending your arm up and bending it just ever so slightly. It's almost going to look like a goose neck. The last 2 fingers that should leave the ball should be your index finger and your middle finger. When you do the follow through, you're going to get a nice back spin on the ball. If the ball goes off just a little bit to the left or the right, there's a good chance it's still going to drop into the basket. I'm going to demonstrate that right now. When I do this, I like to practice right on the line if I'm just going to work on my form. If I do it properly, the ball should drop somewhere close to this line here. If I'm off, it's just going to go to the left or the right and I know I need to make some adjustments within my shot. Feet shoulder width apart, elbow in, nice follow through, perfect. Right on the line. You're going to want to do that over and over again, because good form doesn't come over night. It takes a lot of practice. That's one way to get good form when shooting."
