"In this segment, we're going to discuss stretching. Just like playing any other sport, you always want to have some stretching before you start and after your done with your activity. For disc golf, there are some stretches that are really good for your shoulders as far as loosening up your shoulders with your finger tips on the top of your shoulders. Roll them forward, roll them backward. Personally, I like to do a little bit of a windmill with my arms circling the arms and the shoulder with a disc in hand just to add a little weight. You want to stretch from side to side to get your hips involved. People like to stretch their lower body. Touching your toes, finding out where the ground is once again, stretching out your back. There's not a day that goes by that I don't lye down on the ground and do some isometrics where I'm stretching my toes and my arms and as long as I can be and as long as I can be and also as wide as I can be. That just loosens up all of your stretchy snappy tendons to help you throw a little bit further and be loose. Because with Frisbee, the key is to feel comfortable and loose. So that you can really snap the disc and get it to go. A lot of the throwing motion is a lot like snapping a towel. That's also a little warm up that some players like to do, or use a long rubber band and stretch from the basket or hook it up to a tree or the bumper of your car. They actually make these long rubber bands, stretch bands, that you can use to stretch your shoulder and your hips. Stretching is always a key before you go out and hit the course."
