"In this clip we're going to discuss the approach shot. You can use the same technique, either throwing a backhand shot or a side arm shot. Approach shots range from outside of thirty feet, which is your putting area, where you do your putting motion, up to two hundred feet where you're still trying to throw a smooth shot. Nothing as powerful as you would with a driver. On this approach shot, Darren has a few trees in front of him and water behind the basket. He doesn't want to go long to find the water. You want to use an approach shot for this distance. Sometimes a putter would be good, but let's stick with the mid-range shot and use the mid-ranger. That took it close to the tree, but nearly perfect. Nice shot."
