"Hi, I'm C.R. Willey on behalf of Expert Village. We're here to learn how to play Disc Golf today. Disc Golf is similar to ball golf. You can have nine hole courses, eighteen hole courses. You use Frisbees instead of the little white ball and you try to make your way around the park in as few throws as possible. It's not just a little pitch and put game. It's often times you walk more than a mile while you play Disc Golf. Through the woods, through the trees, over the hill, across lakes, ponds, to grandmother?s house we go. It's a lot of fun and most of the parks are free to play, because they're set up city and county parks. Very few of them are privately owned that you have to pay to play. The Golf?s have different flight characteristics, where some will fly better to the left; some will fly better to the right. Of course, unless they have enough spin they?re going to fall to the ground. Originally it started out with people just smacking a tree. Then they came up with these great targets that catch the Frisbee. When you throw the Frisbees into the basket it actually catches them, and that signifies the end of that hole. Then you go to the next teeing area and you start from there and the whole game begins all over. It's a challenge on every hole. Like I said, some are nine holes, some are eighteen holes. I've even seen some twenty seven hole courses. I'm here with my friend Darren Matola to help teach you and show you how to play Disc Golf. If you want to come out and play, go online and find a course near you. There's a course directory that shows where the courses are throughout the United States and the world. It's a worldwide sport. It's not just in Florida or California. Everyone that has a dog, they bring their dogs out to the course, but my dog doesn't really throw the Frisbee that well. He is basically my spotter."
