"Hi. I'm Cole at Expert Village and I'm going to be talking about some pretty common beginner errors. One is, people, when they buy a mask, they forget to treat it because the manufacturers put a film on the inside of the glass to protect it from getting dirty and scratched. But that film causes them to fog up really easily. So, if they don't treat it, they go diving, they put their mask on, and once they're already out in the water, and start breathing and the mask starts fogging up, and they can't see anything. So, what you always want to do is take a soft abrasive and clean off that film on the inside. Usually, a non-gel toothpaste works best. Do it two or three times. And then, all you need is normal defog to keep your mask clear and to help you see best."
