"Hi, I’m Christ Van Londen and on behalf of Expert Village.com I will be talking about hiking downhill. When you are hiking, slow down, don’t rush. If you rush you are likely to get hurt and if you speed, you are likely to get hurt or you greatly increase your chances. Be prepared when you are going downhill it’s the same thing, don’t rush it. Actually it is more dangerous going downhill than coming up. Usually that is when I get injured when I am going downhill and I get in a hurry. Yes, you are walking on trails that have lots of little rocks and sometimes it is like walking on ball bearings that is why you need a good stick to help support your way down. But don’t rush. If you rush, you are tired. You’ve had a hard hike. You’ve been hiking for hours. So again, when you go down, slow down, don’t rush. If you rush you are likely to get hurt. Just like driving, if you speed you are likely to get hurt or you greatly increase your chances."
