"I’m Chris Kelley and we are here with Expert Village. So you have been out there working on your jumps a little bit but you still can’t figure out how you can’t clear that one jump. You see your buddy there and he jumps it every time and you are having a hard time. He might be using advanced technique into the jump. He might be preloading his bike or prejumping the motorcycle. You don’t actually jump before the thing but what he is doing he is putting his energy into the rear shock and into the rear tire so when he is coming off of the face of that jump, he is getting that little extra added jump and lift where it is going to send him up into the air more instead of just a flat lower landing. You might notice on some jumps that some guys can jump low. They try to keep low so they can fly over but other ones they get a real high. They are very much in the air and that is because what a lot of times they are doing is they are riding into the jump and instead of standing up they are going to stay seated or right before they enter into the jump they are going to seat down. They are going to jump down like this and it is going to compress the seat into the tire and as you drive it you are going to power into the jump, compress that bike, push it down into the jump and as you come off the bike is going to release and come up. It is going to shoot you up through the air and while you jump up into the air you can correct your bike in the air and land on the downside. "
